Richfield Bloomington Alumni & Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi to Host Annual Community Cookout at Minnehaha Falls

Summer is in full swing, and one of the Twin Cities’ favorite fraternity gatherings is almost here. The Richfield Bloomington Alumni and Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. invites brothers, families, friends, and the community to its 2026 Annual Cookout on Saturday, August 8 at Minnehaha Falls, Picnic Area Shed D.

Held under this year’s theme, Achieving Through Unity, the annual cookout is more than a picnic. It’s a celebration of brotherhood, service, family, and the relationships that continue to strengthen the community.

Guests can expect an afternoon and evening filled with great food, music, fellowship, and activities for all ages. A live DJ will keep the energy going throughout the day, while families can enjoy new games and activities designed especially for children.

One of this year’s biggest additions is the 1st Annual 3-Point Shootout, where participants can test their shooting skills for cash prizes, a trophy, and bragging rights. Whether you’re stepping onto the court or cheering from the sidelines, it’s expected to be one of the highlights of the event.

Parking at Minnehaha Falls is limited, so attendees are encouraged to carpool and arrive early to make the most of the day.
